I enjoyed reading about Sabrina changing her life, flipping everything around. I was not interested in all the mom drama. I also wasn’t really thrilled she took her husband back. He didn’t really grovel, and how could he not see working with the OW is obviously a problem? Dumb. She shouldn’t have had to point that out (more than once).

This starts after Sean had an affair with a coworker. He confesses and wants to stay with his wife Sabrina. She eats shiz and stays with him. He’s over it and she’s not. Finally she’s triggered into kicking him to the curb. This is her evolution.

Love the cheating trope and the angst. I wish her husband put more effort forward and groveled! Also, She never questioned him for details and I would have to know everything, how long - what happened - just physical or emotional too, we didn’t get any of these details.

Found this book pretty whatever.
SpoilerWhile I generally love cheating books, especially when they work it out, I didn't feel Sean really deserved it. He was pushy and didn't seem to focus nearly enough on the fact that this was the consequences of his own actions - like dude, this was all on you! I think a better ending would have been showing Sabrina doing her own thing with her biz and without Sean.

Bree is a pro at denying impulse, which worked in her favor and created a smooth an beautiful life...right up until the moment her husband cheats. With impulse control askew--and impulses rife with the grief of a woman's shock--she tries to mask her dismay with guilt. When that unravels, she leaps into the scary world of honesty, both with herself and with others. This is a tale of a woman coming to know herself again, learning to trust her anger and instincts and regaining the strength for a big life decision. KM Jackson writes with raw honesty tempered with humor and insight. So much in this story felt so real and true I was surprised not to find myself in leafy Westchester when the story ended! Engrossing read!

I can’t decide between a three and a four star rating for this book. It was well written and I liked Sabrina and her sister Jan, as well as the new friends Sabrina makes. But I am honestly really conflicted about the premise - husband cheats, admits it, and wants things back the way they were. Having never been in this situation, it’s hard to know what I would do, but I DO know that this is not a fun story. Very difficult. Also, Sean pissed me off a lot.
