Freire brings up some really interesting point about how to change an unjust system. A absolute must-read for anyone interested in anti-capitalism, anti-colonialism, etc.

That said, he tends to be pretty repetitive. Not that it's a long book, but still - it could have been shorter.

Wet intellectual and the sort of text that would be helpful to reread every few years.

Very good stuff! My copy is now full of underlines and notes and comments. My only complaint is Paulo's tendency to write 5-line sentences and quoting people in french/spanish without bothering to translate! Oh well, still an incredible read.
