Honestly, this is the first McFadden book that I thoroughly enjoyed! I didn’t understand the hype of the author after the last couple I’ve read from her, but The Housemaid is pretty fantastic. I’m excited to read the sequel.

A fun, twisty read that’s hard to put down! Freida McFadden’s writing style is very engaging and really focuses on the characters. I don’t read a lot of thrillers, but when I do I choose ones that take place in a household/family setting that focus on a marriage 

Like most thrillers, you will need to suspend your disbelief. But if you do, you’re in for a wild ride and will almost certainly enjoy your time

This book was fine. I can see why it's popular, but it's not really for me. I figured out several of the twists early on and I kept reading to see if I was correct. Personally, I thought the book was boring in several places when I think it was supposed to be suspenseful and some level of exciting, and what I assume were supposed to "the big reveals" didn't really phase me since I had it figured out.

 What a ride. All the twists and turns made this pretty entertaining even if every character was unlikable…except maybe Enzo.

This was okay and entertaining. I found the trope of the mysterious criminal a little overdone and I didn’t appreciate the focus on weight gain or loss as a character flaw.
