Chaol's betrayal was tough - it was her first live after Sam and he betrayed her trust- but I really liked how they wrapped it up. 
I still think that it was Nehemia's intention to get herself killed, and manipulated Archer into orchestrating it. 
I would like to see her friendship with Dorian develop further since they both have powers that could help defeat the king.

I ate this up! Characters are better developed than the first book in the series. Loved getting to see the absolute rage of the female protagonist. Nothing like I’ve read before.
