felt like the author was sitting in front of me with a smirk on her face chanting 'i told you so'. would've been better off as more of a informative book rather than the author telling her experiences with countless "cults" (how did she even encounter so many of them??).
i personally liked the 4th and 5th chapters. they were good and very true to the book name. could've explored more cults though.

If you like crime and cult podcasts, you’ll love this book. It’s a well wrapped up book filled with stories, research, all rooted in the power of language. From religious to fitness cults, I learned not only what to look out for, but several times had to pause and dig into something I couldn’t believe.
