The first book was way better, but this was still well-written and charming. Way too much angst that was too easily resolved for me to give this anything above a three, though.

I liked better the first book I feel like this would be better as one book. It's repetitive, Evan takes a back seat, overall just meh.

I am near speechless. Absolutely amazing duology that I would LOVE to see adapted into a movie/movies, but ONLY if they do it right. The imagery was so good, it almost felt like watching a movie. I felt so many things, especially while reading this sequel. I can’t say enough about this. 20/10

I really wanted to love this book. Unfortunately it just fell a bit flat. I much prefer the first book. I like how everything wrapped up, I was happy with the ending. The rest of the book was journey for me. Maia never really felt like herself. It felt like I was reading a completely new story. It also felt like a lot was being crammed into this book, but that also not much happened at the same time. It was a bit of a struggle for me unfortunately.

contrary to the first book, i preferred the ending of this one so much more! i think it was the best ending possible. i wasn’t a fan of the beginning or middle though. if the end of this book and the beginning of the first book were merged, it would be the perfect book (in my opinion of course)! definitely recommend this duology though!!

4 red strings/5 because strong bb gurl Maia is an ultimate heroine and Edan is the ultimate lovesick sidekick
