Go into this expecting exactly what it is, and you’ll have fun.

This is kinky, taboo, barely-coherently-plotted age gap forbidden relationship fun in novella form. We have two older men and two eighteen year old best friends. It’s a fantasy, it has all sorts of abuse of authority centered in the taboo, too, with the pairings of a daughter and her father’s best friend, and that father (a sheriff) taking in his daughter’s abused best friend.  Commence sexy shenanigans that would be utterly illegal in reality but are good, spicy fun in fiction.

This isn’t I’d best writing… the dialogue felt rather stilted at points. Otherwise I’d be slapping a solid four stars on it.

If the girls weren’t underage from the start I might have liked a few things, but except a few scenes that were ok (if you forgot that they were MINORS) the book wasn’t my thing. And trust me I enjoy a good age gap et smth book but come on there are limits

Right, so, the first book was kinda.. just smut. While the second book was kinda funny. I gave a few chuckles.

Overall, I question why did I read it. Maybe because K. Webster is an amazing author! An author that writes anything and everything. From dark captivity, to incest, to daddy smut, Webster writes it all. Some of her books are definitely on the brilliant and enrapturing side and some books (like this one) are just smut. Just smut books really don’t bring my interest, maybe because they are usually short (100-200p) and I like a build up or a background that make me want to care about the characters.

Literally when the second book started I yelled, “hypo(crite)!” Cause, well, Rick was one.

Sooooo I wanna just say… I didn’t mean to read this again. I just… man, the new cover with the guy on the cover… he’s literally perfect. Literally best book cover I’ve ever seen. Like the face? It’s everything. The eyes? Everything. It’s perfect. So… I got curious. It was like “was this book really as bad as I thought it was? A cover like that can’t possibly mean a bad story? Right?”

Anyway, I can say manyyyy things about this book. BUT I WON’T. Because I knows it’s K. Webster. And Webster writes what Webster writes, and we just love and support her for it because without her books, I wouldn’t be the delightful and decent human being I am today. :)

There are two short stories with interconnected characters and MAN I cannot get over how steamy they were. These two stories are completely taboo, but insanely hot full of lust, desire and forbidden-ness. I forgot how spicy the Taboo Treats series is and I might have to re-read/finish it.
