stop because this was soooo boring. this was as boring as a pirate story can actually be. Moby-Dick or, The Whale was less tedious than this book istg.

The best things about this book were-

1- figuring out where all the modern interpretations of pirates come from.
2- the 'yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum' song.
3- the blind pirate.

I do realize that maybe I don't like this book because I thought that this was going to be something entirely else.

Also if I were in the place of the captain of the ship, I would have slapped the squire so hard- (but maybe that's why I'm not a captain in the first place)

My first pirate read and I loved it! I read it with little to no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The main character was sometimes quite stupid and did stupid stuff but I could see past that. The main part that made this book so amazing was Long John Silver. I could not tell what that guy was up to and what his motives were. He had so many turns that I just gave up trying to predict him.

Dain gives it 5 stars, for the adventure. He loved it! And this was my first time reading, and so enjoyed sharing it with Dain, though my pirate accent is rather terrible.
