Book 1 of the Coven of Bones series, an atmospheric Gothic dark-academia romantasy with magic, vampires, ancient secrets and mysteries, and plenty of spice! I loved Willow, her wit, strength and connection with nature. It kept me guessing until the very end! Reading book 2 immediately!

Wasn’t expecting much from this little book, especially considering how many people tried to talk me out of it. So consider me pleasantly surprised that I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The Dark Academia and spooky vibes were everything. Personally, I would have loved to have more world building and backstory. Sure, it would have changed the pacing and the overall length of the book, but done well, it would have been a 5 star read. Still, this was a great quick read.

It’s worth noting that the audiobook was a good time. I listened to the audiobook simultaneously, and felt like it added to the experience.
