This was an amazing start to what sounds like an amazing new series!! I’m so excited to learn more about Nyx and her story. I love how she now has family and they are starting to band together, trying to go against the things that are stacked up not in their favor. That death was a hard one but that ending was brutal. Can’t wait for the next book

I have been looking forward to this series to get to know Nyx more and OMG! So worth the wait. I truly love how Debbie Cassidy can take a starting point and weave so many different series off of it within a world that I would love to experience!

FUCK! THAT ENDING
okay ive been wanting to start this series for a few months now but just haven’t gotten the chance to bc i wanted to binge it all. now that book 6 is out, i can 😁 and whew this was a great start to a new series! sets up nyx, her personality and motivations really well. like off the bat she’s quite the badass that doesn’t take shit from anyone but you get to see little peeks of the softness inside of her. because tbh i think there’s quite a lot of it. you get to see it with how quickly she bonds with her siblings that she didn’t even know she had, and then i’m hoping in book 2 we’ll see it more with her romantic relationships 👀

This book sucked me right in.
The world building was incredible! I was immersed in their world from the very beginning.
Nyx doesn't know who she really is after she was abandoned as a kid, until she gets the surprise of a lifetime. Something she never expected becomes her reality.
I loved the angst through the whole book. I kept trying to figure it out but always came back surprised once I changed the page.
Nyx is amazing. Not only is she strong willed and independent, but she is also extremely open minded even though she's not quick to trust people. Something you don't usually find in heroines, is strength but also vulnerability becuase they've still got heart. It's usually one or the other, Nyx has both.
Her love interests were all very interesting and so very different. I can't wait to learn more about all of them since we got a glimpse of each of them in this book.

A pretty typical Debbie Cassidy book. If you're a big fan of her writing, you'll love it. Personally, I keep forgetting that I've tried a few of her other books already, and each time I'm a little underwhelmed. They're not bad books- I liked the Nightwatch series well enough. I just found this one a bit too slow and a bit too predictable.

This was a quick easy read, I’ve read a couple of Debbie’s books before but not finished a series. This is intriguing enough to move forward with book 2. The plot is okay, the smut so far is a bit boring, but has potential.

I'm utterly in love with this story. Nyx is an FMC I can 100% get behind. She is so REAL! She doesn't sit around and wait for anyone to save her and she has a wicked mind. I know so much more is yet to come and I am absolutely here for it! Waiting will be torture, but I know Debbie Cassidy won't let me down with this one! So many possibilities and so many questions.
