Nothing like some Blake Crouch to break my reading slump.

Enjoyed this read.

A really cool look into a not-too-distant future that's equally terrifying and exhilarating. I could have done without so many scientific names for things, especially when the author then gives us the lay term in parentheses immediately after. The characters were a little too one dimensional for my liking. What depth there was, wasn't enough to get me to care that much or feel too much for them. Still a fun and unique concept for a story that was a literal page turner for me, this book kept me up and reading well past my bedtime these past few nights.

Muito bom livro. Ritmo acelerado com vários plots permeados por um high sci-fi característico.

As with most Blake Crouch books, the journey is the most important part. The voice actor for this was great, and the narrative voice matched it so well. It also changed and that was super interesting. I felt with Logan a lot of the time. I think Blake showed us that he knows how to write beautiful prose with beautiful sentiment. It was still unsettling like most of his works can be, but the grimbright atmosphere was an awesome background against very intense science. I was left longing at the end of the book. But i will say the conclusion is compelling in a way I'll probably think about for a while. In writing this review I've changed my review from 4.5 to 5. I'll reduce it if I stop thinking about it.
