It’s not very often I want a movie or TV show made out of a book, but this one? I want it VERY badly. It would translate BEAUTIFULLY to screen if done right.
This was amazing. I loved everything about it. The build up & culmination of the main relationship, the dynamics between the characters, and the overarching plot. It’s not very often lately that I’m surprised by twists in books—I usually tend to guess them beforehand. This time, I got close, but never there, and the surprise was DELIGHTFUL.
I also went in expecting this to be a standalone, and… I don’t see any references to it being a series, but there are a few loose ends I would love to see tied up and/or expanded upon. That said, the ending is also mostly satisfying—it ends on a good note, & I don’t necessarily mind having to fill in the gaps on my own. For most of it.
Anyway. This was a great read, & I would def read more from this author!
