dark emotional hopeful mysterious tense medium-paced

This book kept me interested! The suspense and tension throughout the whole thing kept me glued to my seat. Evelyn’s journey throughout this book was emotional. I loved seeing how she saw/read people and developed relationships with the various people she met in Montana. I love Lena and her protective and fun nature. She is someone I’d want to be friends with as well. The friendship that developed first between Evelyn and Lucas is one I’m thankful for. I glad the author didn’t rush their relationship. I loved when Evelyn met Aspen and they just clicked and that Aspen stuck by her side after that.

The idea of receiving death threats in the form of jewelry with my name and the dates on it sounds truly unsettling. But getting an invitation to my own funeral would be terrifying! I can’t believe Nathan had invitations sent to all the people she had surrounded herself with. I can’t imagine opening a fancy looking invitation and seeing it’s for my new friend’s funeral when last I checked she is very much still alive.

Outstanding start to a new series. As an avid fan of Janie Crouch's books, I couldn't wait to read this book. Montana Sanctuary is a fast paced, heartfelt, and suspenseful read full of intrigue, action, and drama.

Lucas and Evelyn’s story is a pure shot of adrenaline with a chaser of feels and swoon! I loved these two together. The sparks and raw chemistry were off the charts. I tell fell fast and hard for this couple and my ached for them. Once I started this story, I couldn't put it down. It is fast-paced and has a riveting plot with enough twists and turns that kept me turning the pages.

This story has everything that I look for in romantic suspense, great characters, intriguing story, action and more action and a love story that pulled at my heartstrings. There is a great cast of supporting characters, plenty of romance, and overall, a great start to the new series. I really enjoyed it and am excited for more!
