I really wanted to love this book. The plot sounded so good! Unfortunately the characters are completely flat. The suspense was there. The romance had potential. It should have been a great steamy thriller. If I didn't need to find out how the bad guy got his due I would have given up at about 50%. The sex was meh and the two main characters were bland and undeveloped.

This has a good creepy factor. We feel the fear and panic and that part was cool. The rest wasn't that much believable. Ex SEALs that own a probably very expensive ranch and make money out of... not sure what, because I didn't see many clients. Not a lot of background regarding any of them. I guess that makes the reading quick. The story is fast paced enough and there isn't a lot of world building and character's backstory and development, but it makes a decent read despite all. Good story to read between some more serious and heavy books.

I ran the gauntlet of emotion reading this book. I was spitting mad so often that I almost flipped to the back, just to make sure someone was going to meet their maker!
This book had all the angst and trauma that my person could handle. The fear felt real. The hopelessness felt real. The unfairness felt real and did I tell you guys I was spitting mad?
Thank goodness love does prevail. It was painful, but we got there.
