I loved this as much as the first 5 times I read it.
The main reason I gave this book a three is because after all we learn about both The Wanderer and Melanie, after all the history of Melanie and Jared, the author rapes us by not showing us how they reunite. Not even a, "As Melanie finally regained consciousness in her body, she looked up and the first person she standing there is Jared. Her Jared. She sits up and embraces him, with her own arms, kisses him with her own lips. Tells him she loves him, with her own voice."
The author gave us nothing of their reunion and that pisses me off. The entire book we read about Melanie's love and longing for Jared. For the one person who saved her. The one person who has been taking care of her brother while her body was invaded. The one person she would die for. Ugh.
The book would have gotten 5 stars had it not been for this HUGE error. So Wanda got her happy ending. So she saved the day. She is a parasite! But you might say, "But she has feelings too, she cares about them!" The love Melanie had for Jared and Jaime caused Wanda to have that same love. Maybe I missed something, but I am disappointed that Stephanie chose to go on and on and on about how Wanda ended up and not go into detail about how Melanie and Jared had their happy ending.

As soon as I read the blurb for this book I loved the idea and I was pleased to find that the story held up to my expectations. It was a bit of a emotional roller coaster (ie. I cried a lot) and I was seriously worried that it wouldn't have a happy ending, but I was very pleased with the ending. Very good read.

i really liked this book. i was in need of a longer book that i didn’t find boring and this did it for me. i would recommend for sci fi fans. i also thought there was enough of a real world applicable theme for it to be interesting, but not preachy

I thought the book was interesting. It wasn't one that I "couldn't put down" but I enjoyed it for the most part. It was definitely different than Twilight, which I liked, but it had some pretty cheesy moments and cheesy name selections. Overall I thought the storyline was interesting and unique.
This book was a very slow read. I found it difficult to get through because the storyline lagged and had gaps of unimportant information. There were some parts of the book that I felt were wastes of pages. The movie showed the same slow dragging effect. I did not enjoy this book at all.
