This third issue of Monstress is oddly hypnotizing and still visually beautiful as ever. I am certain that every review I write of Monstress' issues will always mention how extremely appealing the Art Deco and steampunk style of this comic. This issue is more of a "reveal" for Maika's true monstrosity, there wasn't really much going on, just some action and voila! It's still a gem though, so there's that.

Another great issue! The story really feels like it is expanding but I'm still only seeing a small part of it. I am enjoying where its going and the more I read the more I continue to fall in love with the artwork. Its so beautiful and stunning! And the monster is quite an intriguing.

Les visuels sont toujours aussi beaux mais j'avoue me perdre un peu dans l'histoire et avec les personnages... Il aurait fallu que je lise les livres à la suite et non petit bout par petit bout.

Probably the most beautiful comic book I're read. Both story and art are breathtaking. Don't know what you all are reading right now but this is what you should be getting down to.

For some reason the third part seemed to me even shorter then the second part!
Could it be maybe that I have started wanting to know even more about Maika and her secrets?
Nevertheless, now that I've started this comic I can't seem to stop and I'll just keep going!
All in all, 3.5 stars for the comic, and 0.5 extra star for the little graphic-background-information-giving graphic with the Cat Professor and the three adorable little kitties!
So, overall 4 stars!

I really like this series so far!
It is at this moment my favorite comic series of the year! The only disadvantages is that each issue is so short, but I like them a lot. There is more insight into Maiko's history as she's making her escape. I like how she's a strong kick-ass female character with only one arm.
The art, as in the previous issues, is wonderful!
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
