I think this book is nice but at the same time I'm feeling kinda dumb because I'm not understanding a thing, I guess.

My favourite of the quartet so far im obsessed. this one felt slightly more plot driven than the previous 2 and that mixed with smiths surrealism was so fascinating. that mixed with her social commentary was so good. i love this so much!! richards character is so good.the way these characters stories interact is so interesting will be rereading for sure

This was definitely the weakest of the seasonal quartet so far for me. Spring felt often like two different books that had been hastily thrown together in the third part. While I enjoyed the prose and themes of spring and rebirth in part 1, it had very little drive forwards. While the political commentary of part 2 was brilliant as always, but was given to quite underdeveloped characters. Overall Spring just felt like it needed more polish and cohesion throughout
