Hollow's Edge has always been a quiet and close knit neighbourhood. That is until the murders of Brandon & Fiona Truett. One of their own, Ruby Fletcher, has been convicted, and the residents feel trapped. Fast forward a year and a half, Ruby is back, after having her conviction overturned, and she walks right back into her old life. Harper Nash has always treated Ruby like a younger sister, but now she is terrified. Within days suspicions are sparked with lies and secrets being revealed, and when the murderer strikes again, Harper knows she needs to uncover the truth.

I received this book in my summer It's A Good Day Book Box, and was immediately drawn to the beautiful cover and synopsis. I likely wouldn't have picked this book for myself otherwise, and it was my first Megan Miranda book. Upon finishing I wasn't exactly sure what to think or how I felt about it.
Such a Quiet Place gave me all of the suburban vibes, and created a whole lot of doubt with the suspicious cast of characters. Marketed as a thriller, there really wasn't all that much thrill, rather it's more of a domestic drama with a touch of mystery. I enjoyed the slow building tension, and the writing was decent. Yet the plot felt easily forgettable and I'd have appreciated a little more fleshing out of some of the characters. The map at the beginning certainly helped bring the town to life and helped me keep track of who's who.
Overall, this was just an okay read, and I've already forgotten the main points of the story. I'd be willing to try another Megan Miranda book in the future.
