LOVED this book. Devoured it in a day. Thought the story was unique, loved the characters (although Ben kinda sucked, still loved him) and touched on some topics of substance and importance.

First of all, this book didn't make me feel anything. I just read it just to finish it.

Benedict Bridgerton needs his own season on the show.

The pining, the cheeky banter between Sophie Beckett and Benedict was everything. Sometimes, Sophie’s innocence or her instance to step back bothered me, but it was only because I really rooted for her.
Benedict was kind of a rake when he asked Sophie to be his mistress 🤨, but he was overall very descent and considerate.
The chemistry is really what makes a romance and I felt it here between these two characters.

I kind of wish we got more of Araminta, Rosamund, and Posy then just their appearances in the beginning and the end. They were relegated to the background after the masquerade ball, and I would have liked to have seen more of how they could have interacted alongside the other characters while Sophie was spending time with Benedict, apart from Lady Whistledown’s reports.
