Ughhhhh can i hit Benedict over the head with some irony.
He saves Sophie from impending doom (sexual assault), and then puts her under just as much pressure on her.
I really don’t like him as a character. No redeeming qualities he is a twat.

For whatever reason, ABC are the most unlikeable in their own perspective books, and Benedict is definitely included in that assessment. However, Sophie is wonderful as a character, and the last 30 or so pages of the book are FANTASTIC. Not a huge fan of the classist themes in this one, but I can overlook them considering the time period they're set in.
