This is a prequel to Disarray. It actually goes back 8 months prior and explains how Mia got in that predicament of losing her memory in the first place. I didn't think I was going to like going back in time, but BOY WAS I WRONG! This book contains just as much suspense as the first, yet with an entire different premise which felt fresh and exciting! There's also A LOT MORE ROMANCE than the first. Her desire for Ethan was so strong, it made more than my skin tingle. Lol. I loved them together. Everything about their relationship... I just couldn't get enough. He's the guy she's meant to be with. Period.

When Hugh comes in the picture, you think it's going to turn into a love triangle, but it doesn't. Despite their strong bond, they are nothing but friends, and I really loved that about their relationship. Together they're trying to figure out how to get her brother out of jail. Hugh knows more then he's letting on, but as his friendship with Mia strengthens, so does his loyalty to her. And that's when he starts to realize who is the real enemy. But you don't poke the bear without consequences, and because Mia is the type to risk everything to get what she wants... it costs her relationship with Ethan, and she ends up losing her memory.

The ending was heart-wrenching, but because you already know how everything turns out in book 1, you heal fast. And on to book 3! I can't wait to see Mia charge after her enemies to make them pay for everything they've done to her!

The best thing that I like about this whole series is that it's thrilling, heartbreaking, beautiful all at once!
