Cute, but I won't be continuing with it
funny relaxing

It's funny and cute. I'm experimenting with reading manga or graphic novels when I'm having trouble locking into other books to see if it helps, so this was just what I needed.

How I Rate Books
I rate based on resonance, re-readability, and whether the book randomly resurfaces in my thoughts.
⭐ 1 – Nothing stayed or DNF. Wouldn’t recommend.
⭐⭐ 2 – A flicker, but no fire. Finished out of curiosity or willpower.
⭐⭐⭐ 3 – Just good. Enjoyed it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 – It clung in soft ways. Worth a revisit.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 – Lives in me now

Similar to when I read Cat on the Hero's Lap Vol. 1, I enjoyed reading this manga. Overall, this is sweet, wholesome and light. If that is what you are looking for, pick this up without a doubt.

But for me, the lack of anything more means that I won't pick up the rest of the series. There is the smallest amount of through-line plot to this short-story style volume. But barely. Not enough to keep me engaged and wanting to return. Had it given me more plot, I would love to see how the relationship dynamics develop.

So this book really surprised me. Halfway through this book, I was completely bored. I considered DNF’ing it— but in the end I resolved to trudge ahead so I could revenge-rate it.
Except when I returned to finish the job, I found the book… surprisingly interesting? Not just that, it was humorous and heartwarming?? Truly, my opinion of this manga preformed one of the most surprising 180’s I’ve seen in a book, and I was very pleasantly surprised that it did! Honestly I’m still not sure how my whole mindset about it shifted? But it became a very calming, comforting, slice of life story about Mr. Villain and his daily encounters with humans— and there was something about those little interactions, whether they were moments of kinship or kindness or, of course, pandas, that was suprisingly touching!
I think I’ll pick up this series and read some more of it next time I’m having a bad day. Hoping it keeps this sweet sentimental vibe!

A cute manga about a villain who wants to do nothing on his day off, except eat ice cream and visit pandas at the zoo.  Its a repetitive joke, but sweet enough. A nice easy read, very light-hearted and will put a smile on your face.
