This definitely seems like it's going to have some Despicable Me aspects to it, and I absolutely want to continue to see where this is going.
On the villain's day off, he explores the softer side of living (on purpose or by accident). This includes things like pandas, the innocence of children, and a petting zoo! He refuses to do nefarious things on his day off- as those are work related. And honestly, anything panda related would be the highlight of his day.
Will he still want to see the fall of human civilization come the end of the series?

Somehow, I liked this manga more than [b:Assistant to the Villain|123257687|Assistant to the Villain (Assistant to the Villain, #1)|Hannah Nicole Maehrer|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1702057336l/123257687._SY75_.jpg|144626864], though less than [b:Hench|49867430|Hench (Hench, #1)|Natalie Zina Walschots|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1594616305l/49867430._SY75_.jpg|73236179]Hench and a similar amount as [b:The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! 01|51040639|The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! 01|Wakame Konbu|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1581050162l/51040639._SX50_.jpg|75871374]. All treat villainy as a day job, though they occupy different genres, and vary in how serious that threat of villainy is. This is definitely on the comedic side and I can't honestly tell how serious the threat is - it certainly feels like Mr Villain might not eradicate humanity, if only so there are vets to take care of the pandas.
The strict work-life division Mr Villain enacts is amusing - which contrasts starkly with the Rangers, who seem to use their off-time as an opportunity to covertly gather intel about their opposition. Very situational humour and very light-hearted - there doesn't seem to be anything too serious going on, at least in this volume.

2.5 stars, rounded up cuz there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not my jam.
In a purposely-silly take on sci-fi/superhero cliches, this series follows one of the top guys in the League of Villains, but only on his days off - during which he refuses to do ANYTHING job-related. So he goes about mundane daily activities (visiting the zoo, the mall, the grocery story, etc) trying to indulge his liking for cute things and good snacks while avoiding co-workers and enemies (his Power Rangers-like super-team opponents, some of whom are just as silly as him), fighting to keep his cool in the face of little everyday frustrations (Favourite snacks out of stock? "Okay now I am DEFINITELY wiping out humanity."), and sometimes overhearing and completely misinterpreting human conversations.
Chapters are very short and episodic, and the tone is lighthearted and laid-back with low-key humour.
Content concerns: so far seems suitable for middle schoolers and up - no violence, no romance or nudity or sexuality, no swearing
