This got me so confused with what was happening through out the book. There were times where I was absolutely lost and didn’t understand what I just read. The art is quite good, I must say.

This volume was enjoyable but not anything outstanding. The art is good, but the story was somewhat confusing to follow for the first couple issues. However, it found more focus as it went on, and there are some interesting characters and dynamics at play in the latter sections. There's definitely some appeal here for fans of DC, Deathstroke, and antihero story-lines, but, as my comics introduction to the character, it wasn't bad, wasn't particularly memorable.

Very well done, but it's just unable to get over some of the problems at the core of the character. Not for me, but worth checking out.

I cannot in good conscience rate this as highly as Judas Contract, which is saying something. So it's a 2 star, though I thought of giving it a 3 because it was pretty enjoyable in a popcorn sort of way.

I love Rose. I love Joey, though I prefer his previous characterizations over this one. I also prefer Adeline's previous characterizations over this one. I love Damian, that little jerk. I love a lot of the characters on that team that Deathstroke & Adeline make halfway through.

I liked the flashbacks. Again, ultimately I prefer previous Wilson family dynamics to this one, but I do like that it filled in some gaps about why Grant was the way he was, so to speak.

The pacing was really good, in that it was like a speeding train. Everything blurred and made little sense but that's fine, I wasn't really reading for the plot.

They WAY fumbled the ball when it came to addressing the grooming that happened with Tara and Slade, and Joey and Isherwood.

Overall, reading this felt like how watching reality TV feels like. I had fun for the ride.

Final thought: Rose-and-Joey centric series when?

I really try to be fair to every book I read. I don't like being a kneejerk type of review...

But I really, really didn't like this book. I found it confusing and filled with unlikable characters. It got slightly more interesting once Batman showed up but then the writing for Batman felt off anyway and the book ended in a cliffhanger, meaning I didn't even get RESOLUTION to the terrible and confusing plot.

If I'm intended to like Slade or find him interesting... this book didn't do the trick. He seems like an unlikable jerk who is good at killing people and nothing else. Characters aren't interesting just because you make them terrible husbands/parents.

Oh and god, that scene where Slade fights with his wife which leads them having sex is so cliche and just... So much bad writing for women in this book. But then Slade gets rewarded for being terrible. He treats his wife terribly, tells her not to "blame me for your uterus" and then she has sex with him cause that's how bad romance works in fiction. Pathetic.

And of course he also treats his daughter terribly but then we get a shot of her smiling as she holds onto him because... because.

I'm mostly committed to reading every volume of rebirth through at least the second volumes but Idk. Even though this ended on a cliffhanger I'm not sure I feel compelled to read anymore of this. I don't need to be subjected to more bad writing.

Before you read this you should know it's a very intricate book.

That being said this Deathstroke book is rad.

If you like Deathstroke at all you should check it out.

Too much like hard work, and I'm not a big enough fan of Deathstroke to bother. Feel like I'm having to speed-read all of Rebirth in order to keep on top of it all as it is, so I'm not wasting reading time on a title that barely makes sense.
