This book is so fucked up with so much violence, gore, etc. but the book kept me wanting to know more, kept me wanting to know how deep things went, etc. The characters felt real and the dynamic of sisters was realistic as well. I feel like the book kindof lost some of its pacing toward the end and could’ve been maybe 30 pages shorter, but overall was still pretty invested the whole time. The ending made me cry.

This book is a masterfully crafted thriller that kept me hooked from the first page to the last. The plot is intricately woven with twists and turns that left me gasping in surprise. I found myself deeply identifying with the characters, their struggles, and their emotions, which made the story even more compelling. The different perspectives of the narrators added depth and richness to the narrative, providing unique insights and keeping the suspense alive. "Pretty Girls" is an unforgettable read that I highly recommend to anyone who loves a gripping, well-written thriller.

Climaxed for like half the book, graphic and violent for no reason other than filling the pages

What a powerful, horrific, anxiety inducing, beautifully written book. This is my second by Slaughter and I’m so impressed with the way she can take such heavy subjects and turn them into something so touching.
