While I wouldn’t necessarily call this your traditional thriller, I really enjoyed this one. I’d say it’s more of a psychological fiction with some scheming and cat and mouse going on.

This is a long read/listen (16+ hours on audible) but the narrators were absolutely fantastic and the alternating POVs really kept me interested.

There were a few unexpected (to me) twists, and I think it had a satisfying enough ending.

Enjoyed this one. Grifters, antiques, cons... more suspense than I expected. Usually I'm not a fan of books with characters that don't treat other people well, but I liked these ladies. The shadier it got, the more fun I was having. By the epilogue, it was almost like a black comedy. I think the trauma you discover as their parents secrets are revealed made it all more acceptable, so I forgave them their bad behavior. The author did a good job conveying their emotions and self doubts. This is dual POV, and you'd often repeat the same scene from the other person's side. This enhanced interactions thoroughly, and so much more is discovered seeing things from both sides.
