I normally really enjoy Alice Feeney’s work, but this one just made me feel super icky once the twist was revealed. I had almost DNF’ed it around the 60% mark and I really wish I would have.

Since I read the book in Turkish, I didn’t enjoy the writing style—it felt monotonous to me. In my opinion, it could have been written more engagingly. That said, after about 200 pages, the story started to draw me in and became much more interesting. I think if I had read it in English, I might have rated it a 4 or even 4.5 out of 5.
This book just wasnt grabbing me. I have loved everything I have read by Alice Feeney, up until now.
