Just like all of Nicole's books this one was just fantastic. I loved Sawyer, and Kennedy such a tough lady. They really were a perfect fit in my eyes. I love the AI series and can't wait for more.

whew, this was a LONG wait! with ethan and travis, sawyer is one of my favorite walker brothers! i love his personality and his humor. i love his responsibility to his family and friends and that he feels the need to protect them at all costs. he's an absolute pushover for his puppy which is so awesome. and he's finally met his match. he's been pursuing kennedy for a long time and she wouldn't give in while he 'sowed his wild oats'. she has a wicked sense of humor as well and a strong sense of family and friends. and anyone who takes care of animals is a friend in my book. they have chemistry off the charts and their banter is great.

there was a pretty big surprise in this book that i never saw coming...i'm interested to see how that turns out!

Sawyer. Sawyer. Sawyer. He's been on my mind since he stood on that street corner holding the sign saying "Will Work for Sex." I've been waiting a very, very long time for his story, and boy was it worth the wait. He's been hooked on Kennedy for years. His friends used to tease her and although he never did it himself he always felt bad. When she comes back to town years later, Sawyer feels guilty for not sticking up for her and he's also extremely attracted to her but she wants nothing to do with him. Nothing. His amazing good looks and charm can't win over Kennedy. She can't forgive him and she can't get away from hearing story after story of 'Sawyer the ladies man' and she wants nothing to do with that. But that doesn’t stop him from going after her. For years! Eventually, Kennedy sees something in Sawyer that's different. He's grown up and changed. He vows to pursue her and she secretly looks forward to seeing him. Can Kennedy learn to trust Sawyer and let go of the past? Will Sawyer prove to Kennedy that he wants her and only her?
I love Sawyer! He's my second favorite after Travis :) Nicole is such a great writer. She has a special way to tell each brother's story while keeping the pulse of the entire family alive in every book. I love seeing all the brother's interact. They are such a big, wonderful family. I want to be invited to Sunday dinner.

There was no disputing the fact that Sawyer was a very attractive man. And by very, Kennedy meant incredibly hot. And by attractive, Kennedy mean incredibly sexy.

He was beginning to wonder what it would do to her if he dipped himself in chocolate.

Why was her vocabulary reduced to single word sentences and grunts? Sure, he was handsome, if you liked leanly muscled, towering cowboys with naughty sense of humor and that down-home country-boy charm. Which she didn't particularly like all that much. Uh-huh. Right.

"I don't pretend to be a saint, never have. But I can tell you that there has never been a single woman who has come even remotely close to making me feel what you make me feel."

I was so excited to finally get to Sawyer & Kennedy story but I'll admit it was lacking in my opinion. It was still a good book with hot sex and this awesome family but something about the relationship just left me a little blah. I guess I just didn't feel that "Need you now" tension between them like all the other couples. It wasn't bad obviously if I still gave it 4 stars. The sex was hot and in the end I enjoyed the story line. Not sure if I'm looking for Brendon story since he's been so "Poor Me" for the last 2 book, I hope the next one is not a pity party.

The narration was good.

I have love, love, loved Sawyer for many books now. He's the one that is always there for his brothers, no matter what. Not that the other brothers aren't all there for one another, but Sawyer always seems to pick up on things even when nothing is said. He claimed a place in my heart early on in this series. I'm happy to say he is now firmly lodged in that spot.

Kennedy is the perfect woman for him. She is also a very caring person who sees a lot, even when she tries not to. After all these years, she could no longer convince herself that Sawyer is a bad guy. She saw that when she first returned to town, but didn't want to admit that it was true. Once she realized she could trust her instincts about him, she also became his defender and I loved that.

Through the last few couple of books, Brendon has been on my last nerve. He has really upset me with the way he's treated his twin and Jessie. Of all the brothers, he is definitely my least favorite. There are a few scenes in this book that have him (very slowly) starting on the road to redemption in my eyes. He is finally starting to become self-aware and realize that he has to look to himself to fix his problems, not blame others. Since his is the last (and final?) book of this series I hope he completes that trip to redemption!

Back to Sawyer and Kennedy. There is one thing Kennedy does (or I should say doesn't do) in regards to her ex that annoys me. Even then, Sawyer is so understanding of her reasons and doesn't lash out. I loved that.

I am so interested in Kennedy's dad and his back story and what direction his love life may be taking. I hope it is addressed in the last book, also.
