adventurous
lighthearted
tense
fast-paced
- Strong character development? It's complicated
- Loveable characters? Yes
- Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated
(notes from my reading log)
* Sequel to Velocity Weapon, picks up exactly where it left off. Sanda, our main heroine, decides to hunt down the coordinates on her Keeper chip instead of lying low
* Ensemble cast, expanded from the first book. Easy to track everyone's story. My favorite is Sanda but she's amazing
* Really enjoy this series
* My thoughts on Velocity Weapon was that I wanted more female-identifying characters, I got them here!
* Casual queerness. Biran is bi! Nox is gay! Halston is also gay! Love that people are queer and that's not super important to the story.
* What happened to the nanite sample? Sanda shoots Tomas but I forget where the flask of nanites went.
* Also didn't understand the inclusion of "interludes" because everything advanced the plot.
* Overall: a fun political thriller in space. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good time.
* Finished 12 September 2020
