Smirnoff does a great job continuing this series. She captures the characters well and there’s just the right amount of continuity between the different trilogies while still letting this trilogy have its own identity. Once again I’m missing some of the darkness that Larsson was so excellent at and there’s an attempt at it but it’s nowhere near as visceral.
