Thai book took me a little while to get into (could blame that on the fact I had surgery this week and I’m just overall not with it) but about half way through I couldn’t put it down. I think another part of my problem was after reading Behind Her Eyes, I just *knew* there had to be a twist coming and spent a lot of the time trying to figure it out instead of just enjoying the ride. As someone who had been on the recovering end of a cheating situation, I felt ZERO sympathy for Marcie the entire book.

Why?! What was the point?
.
I got suckered into reading this one because I was blown away by the plot twist in “Behind Her Eyes”. In similar fashion, this novel was slow to start and repetitive…but the most painful part is there was no mind blowing plot twist.

If you're looking for a book that leaves you mind-blown and in shock, then this is the book for you.

"Dead To Her" has high amounts of drama, secrets, bad juju, voodoo, scandal, and much more.

Meet Keisha, William Radford IV's new second wife, that he's just brought back from London. Nobody can take their eyes off of her especially Jason Maddox, Marcie's husband.

Meet Marcie, the second wife of Jason Maddox. She's somewhat new to the club of the Savannah elite.

Old money, older ties, and even older secrets are in this club of elite.

Marcie thinks Keisha is her biggest threat but there's an even bigger threat she needs to worry about, especially with her big secret she has hidden in the ceiling of her dressing room

I will admit the beginning of this book did start out slow for me, but it picked up about a fourth of the way in and never slowed down from there. I loved how I was never able to guess who was the mastermind behind everything, the one that was pulling all the puppet strings. And the ending, oh my god, you will NEVER see it coming. Do you remember how creative and compelling "Behind Her Eyes" ended? Well, "Dead To Her" is even more shocking and will leave you blindsided. Get ready to read til 4 in the morning because this book is that good.

If you love Sarah Pinborough's other novels and love books that leave you speechless, then you will love "Dead To Her".
"Dead To Her" comes out February 11th,2020.

*Disclaimer: I received a digital advanced reader copy from St.Martin's Press(William Morrow) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

*I am giving this a 2.8, just on the cusp of a solid three stars.*

I love the unique elements in Pinborough's thrillers and can see why this one was rated a bit lower than behind her eyes. Some people might not like the unlikable characters and supernatural elements in this book. I thought the middle sunk a bit, but that ending brought me back in! It was a fun ride towards the end unwinding the mystery of this elite sect in Southern America.

Disappointed.

A little boring and predictable, didn’t really like the ending. I liked the writing style and I did get emotionally invested in parts

No idea where this story was going but I dread reading the story cz I kept getting overwhelmed and putting it down only to forget about it for weeks. I give up on this

I liked it
