Jackson continues to fascinate me as a complex and interesting character. Highly flawed.
What a great read! The mystery was excellent, with a resolution that I wouldn't have guessed but that makes complete sense. Better yet, the mystery aspect of the book is really just an added bonus to a novel that is at it's core an interesting reflection on how different people consider and try to get clarity on what is most important to them in life.
Especially loved the structure of this book - each chapter about someone else. As we go on, we work out how the characters are linked. Loved the trick ending too.

This was not my favorite book. There were too many characters and each chapter focused on a different one. It wasn't until halfway through the book until I was mildly interested in what would happen in the end.
The plot was confusing and I was unsure if it the events were supposed to be reality or not and I believe it always turned out to be reality, which was confusing.
All in all, I enjoyed her previous novel, Case Histories, and this was a disappointing follow-up.
