I find it very hard to believe this is the same woman who wrote Life After Life. Perhaps I'm extra critical because I just read another book that relied too heavily on coincidences, but I find it hard to believe that in all of Edinburg this group of random strangers was so repeatedly intertwined.

I just went back and reread my review of the first Jackson Brodie book and I had the same complaint, so perhaps I need to give up on the series. I still want to watch the TV series
