3.66 AVERAGE

A coincidence is a connection we don't know yet. Intricate plots intertwine satisfactorily. This one loses one star because Julia is so annoying, but I'm putting the next installment on my list now.

3.5 probably. Good, but didn't thrill me as much as the first Jackson Brodie book. The writing is still lovely, but the intertwined plot didn't work for me as well as I'd have liked.

3.5 stars, another enjoyable read

Prima tweede deel, maar op de een of andere manier voelde deze een stuk gekunstelder (onwaarschijnlijker?) aan.

"Pam wasn’t what Gloria would have called a friend, just someone she had known for so long that she had given up trying to get rid of her."

"Gloria didn’t believe in heaven although she did occasionally worry that it was a place that existed only if you did believe in it. She wondered if people would be so keen on the idea of the next life if it was, say, underground. Or full of people like Pam."

loved this one - smart, well written, great characters! worth the read!

Took a bit to remember that it was a character I'd read about before. Thought it was interesting, think I like the plot better than the first book.

Very pacy plot. All very gripping from start to finish. All quite contrived- you just know that every character is going to be connected in the final plot twist. But still a decent story. She knows how to write a decent mystery.
