Lots of setting prepare for the next 4 volumes. Most of characters name from a great novel detective or their author.
Trama stupenda, disegni fantastici.
Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha for allowing me to review this title.
This manga is different than what I usually read. It has older characters (in their 20s). It is a murder mystery with a club with murder mystery author names like Ellery (Queen).
The members of the club arrive on a deserted island where people were murdered and the house burned to the ground. A secondary mystery is active on the mainland.
The beginning two chapters were a bit slow, but it definitely picks up as the chapters progress. I really want to read the second one to see who will die and who will live.
A dark read for those who love mysteries.
Definitely recommend it for older teen and adult readers.
Thanks again Kodansha and NetGalley.

I received an ARC of this manga, and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
The members of a university Mystery Club head to a deserted island during spring break. They will be staying in a ten-sided house built by an eccentric architect. The architect actually lived in a mansion on the island until he was recently murdered along with his wife and servants. The club members have a great opportunity to look more into the case...that is, if they all survive their stay.
I have never read a "whodunit" manga before, but this was absolutely amazing! Reading this made me feel like I was playing a game of Clue. The story is intriguing, and I am hooked!
The mystery itself has piqued my interest. Some suspicious deaths, an accident that might have actually been a murder, strange letters with ominous messages... This first volume outlined what we're dealing with, and I'm sure it will get even more suspenseful in future volumes.
The artwork is stunning! It was atmospheric and haunting, and it really added to the mood of the story. It would be so cool if this ever got animated! The cover alone is gorgeous, and the story's artwork doesn't disappoint.
The characters are all unique, though not much is known about them yet. They have very different personalities, and their relationships with each other are a little strained. I'm curious about what they're hiding!
All in all, I enjoyed this read. For some reason, this manga actually reminded me a little of Bungou Stray Dogs which is a series I adore. Warning: this volume ends on a cliffhanger, and it's driving me crazy that I will have to wait a while for the next volume! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a murder mystery or a fascinating read!
