I love the story.

Also, the humor....is so organic. Yoricks character is so relatable and serves as a sort of glimpse into the world that was the late 90s, early 00s. I love it.

Im not surprised at the notoriety this series has gained.

Volume 2 is fuego! I just got volume three and im starting it this week!!!!!!
The current story development is awesome! The world building is amazing! and I hope this becomes a tv show! Like seriously.

This is definitely better than the first collection of the series, mostly because there is nearly 100 percent less exposition. So relaxing to just read a story!

Must. Keep. Reading. I really like this series so far -- no time to write a review, must keep going! Seriously, this end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it story of "gendercide" is gripping, global in scope, and with a mystery at its core that is really keeping me guessing. Plus, Yorick -- who is literally the last man on earth -- is a real charmer, and I can't help rooting for him. And his monkey. If you enjoy graphic novels with a big cast of characters and a plot that absolutely moves, check out Y: The Last Man.

I'll skip the teaser since I already covered that in volume one. In this volume, Yorick, Dr. Mann, and Agent 355 head west with the goal being Dr. Mann's backup facility in California. They get derailed in Ohio for spoilery reasons.

Okay, this one read as well as the first one on the re-read. Action packed, good character moments, and the overall plot advanced a bit. Questions were answered but more came up. The pace is a lot faster than I remember. The dialog is good, funny when appropriate and serious when not. BKV had a good handle on things. Yorick already seems like he's growing up a bit from the beginning of the series.

I wish it was longer. Great but short.

Yorick seeks to save a scientist that might be able to study and clone men. 355 and Dr. Mann seek to make it to California to retrieve backup of her research, while Yorick just wants to find his girlfriend. A gang/political movement of women seeks to end Yorick, while Israel seeks to find them as well. Bonus, two men on the international space station make the decision to come home to Earth.

This series just keeps getting better and better. So many times when people think of graphic novels they don't think of stories like this one that have so much science, politics, and questions of society and womanhood. Can society survive without men? I'd like to think so, but until then I'll keep reading.
