This wasn't quite as good as it was hyped up to be. It was, however, a great book. I think it could serve as a great way to introduce WWII history to reluctant readers and those reluctant to read any history.

This is an unreal account. Honestly what sets it apart for me is the relationship with the author and his dad - the process of this story being written as it’s being told is just as interesting.

Woah! Absolutely loved this! This is only the second graphic novel I've read, but I'm absolutely loving them. This story is so heart wrenching yet intriguing. I've never studied very much about Hitler or the Holocaust, but this has really grabbed my attention. I have Maus II on my TBR shelf waiting for me, but I'm afraid to start it because I'm more afraid to finish it. I don't want this series to end. Thank you, Art Spiegelman for raising my awareness of Auschwitz and making me more interested in reading about the Holocaust and the stories of the families; both surviving and deceased. This books can be very dark at times, yet still very much redeeming. Full 5 Stars!
