I was inspired to read Little Women after having watched Greta Gerwig’s adaption of the children’s classic. I read a few chapters each night before bed as a nice evening ritual before going to sleep. Despite the at times formal sounding language and the relatively mundane plot compared to what I usually read, I can say with full confidence that I absolutely loved reading Little Women. Such a beautiful story filled with great morals and lessons which realistically portray human nature and remind us of all that is good in the world. Despite having been written so many years ago it is still relevant and as a 17 year old in 2021, I found the characters and their experiences very much relatable. I would highly recommend it as a must read classic, 5/5 stars!

I had never read this book in school, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the prose lighthearted and lovely. The life lessons are definitely dated, but it was an enjoyable read and I liked getting to go back in time to an earlier era where women were treated so differently than today.

If possible I would have given it a 3.5. I read it for the sake of "something I can't believe I have never read and must make it right!" Ya, it kind of felt like a homework assignment. I kind of couldn't stand how these little women spoke. I get the historical context but over 500 pages? It was a little much.

in my aunt and uncle’s residential neighborhood, i was just strolling and i saw a cute little book shelf with flowers arranging from top to bottom behind it in front of someone’s house. Come to find out it’s a « Little Free Library » location that i unknowingly stumbled upon on at the time so feeling adventurous, i decided to browse some books and i saw this book.
I usually look up into book reads to determine wether to read it and i saw this book had good reviews and so here we are.
I remember little of the book since reading it and perhaps i should make a habit of making a review after reading it but for all i know there’s valuable lessons in the book that are still relevant today and i find it lighthearted :) i suggest reading it

This book took me way too long to read. I approached it with entirely the wrong ideas and forgot it’s a classic and so the language used is old and I find it incredibly difficult to sit through old writing. But after getting past Part 1, I enjoyed myself a lot more. Her writing is poetic and lyrical. She spoke feminism in that light, slightly suggestive way that was probably more suited for her time.
