The Taint series is a spinoff of the wonderful series, Sugartown. The band, Taint, is about to go on tour. Cooper Ryan, leader, needs the tour to help deal with the separation from his daughter (now living in Sugartown). Ali Jones is a newbie to the record business-her first job is a lacky. She is about to loose the job after bumping into Cooper. Now she is his personal assistant. Sexual chemistry and sex run deep in this book. I got hooked pretty quickly. The character dynamics are real. Each of the characters is unique, complicated, irritating, and yet at times compassionate. They suck you right in to the drama, and there is a lot of drama. Sex, drugs, rock-n-roll. It all blows up, after the band is betrayed by one of their own. Ali quits, fleeing back to Australia in disgrace. She refuses be the reason the band breaking up. She will not be humiliated again. She misses the band, one member in particular. He surprises her, delcaring his love, wanting her to return. This literally the end of the book, the only part I didn't like. How can you end a book filled with drama with "see you in two weeks"? Of I will make sure the next book in the series doesn't get buried on my reader.

Oh.My.Lord.... talk about a sexy AF read! This book is definitely in the 'panties optional' pile. So, so hot.
Deliciously juicy, laced with drama, lust, love and some amazing humor. The phrase "Holy hot cock, Batman"comes to mind - and there is a lot of that too.
Worthy of far more than the 5 stars on offer, and definitely 1-click appropriate.
This was my first time reading Carmen's work but it will definitely not be the last, in fact, I'm off to get 'Closer' right now!

This was my first book by this author and I definitely enjoyed it. The "triangle" aspect isn't really a big deal. I thought it was always clear who she would end up with. Overall this was a fun book to read with just enough angst to make it interesting. I wish the ending showed more in the future. I'm guessing this was to leave room for the next books in the series. It wasn't life changing, but I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.

 *3 - 3.5 Stars*

This was an ok read for me - I didn't mind the characters, but there was a bit too much of some things and not enough of others. There was a lot of push and pull and indecision and terrible behaviour. When everyone was good/nice, I liked them easily. When they weren't, not so much lol. World building was good. I liked Zed and Dec as secondary characters and would like to see a book for them (not sure if that's an intention for the author, but definitely something I felt whilst reading). The last 3rd of the book was probably the best for me - I'd still read the next book in the series though.

I NEED 6 STARS! Carmen has done it again, she can do no wrong in my eyes!! This is the type of book that I wish I had Read Day off not Vacation day or Sick Day I need Read Day. I completely loved this book! This is funny, emotional and we can not forget SEXY AS HELL! How she puts these scenes to together and make everything work is beyond me. I swear while reading the sex scene, I crossed my legs and bit my lip the whole time. Yes,it was that fantastic. This love triangle was so well written, I wish I could get a glimpse of her imagination. Cooper and Ali's story is just the start of the awesome tour Taint is beginning. I'm so excited for the next book in this terrific series! FANTASTIC JOB CARMEN <3!

I really, really wish I didn't have to do this, but...

DNF

I wanted to love it so bad. And some bits I did. Though that was pretty much just the sexy bits. MFM!!!!! Hotness overload right there!

My issues came with the females coming over like rude bitches (though other reviewers called it "sass"), there were some really gross bits, mainly the cum circle/socks scene. And unfortunately the book just didn't hold my attention at all. I skimmed. A lot. Which I hate to do!

There were good parts to it, too. Coop's sister had some really funny one-liners during the waxing incident. And like I said before, the sex was through the roof!! But unfortunately, this just really wasn't for me.

Sometimes love is found in the strangest of places, with the least likely of people. Ali sure isn't looking for anything besides keeping her dream job at Harbour Records, finding a place to live and coexisting with her late grandmothers bastard cat.

"Wax on, wax off. My arse."

Cooper Ryan decides to change her entire future the day she fell into Taint's meeting at the record company. Cooper is the sexy, quiet, closed-off frontman of Taint, Austrialia's hottest rock band. He sees something in Ali that he can't ignore and he won't stop until he gets what he wants.

"Stupid egotistical, average-in-every-way rock stars"

Ali finds herself in the middle of a triangle that I really didn't see happening. She's trying to deal with love, lust and keeping her name out of the tabloids. She knows where her heart lies but she doesn't want to admit it to him or herself. After finally coming to the conculsion that road life isn't for her, Ali makes the hard decision to go home, face the music and live a normal life...as normal is it can be.

"Why do we do this to one another? Why couldn't we all just walk away? Why couldn't I just walk away, before this thing ruined not just our careers, but our lives too?"

Once again, Carmen Jenner does not disappoint. I have a thing for Aussie writers, I'm not sure what it is but I absolutely love them! I really felt like I connected with Ali. She's unsure of her future, where she needs to be, and she's a huge fangirl when she needs to be. We originally learned about Cooper in her Sugartown Series, focusing on his ex Holly and their baby but now we get his side of the story and it's really great. I'm very excited for more of the Taint series.

A new Carmen Jenner series about rock stars?

If you have read Ms Jenner's Sugartown series, you will have already met Cooper Ryan -he's Holly's ex, and her baby-daddy.  This being said, you do not need to have read the Sugartown books to read Revelry.

To say that Ali's life the past year has been a bit of a crap-fest would be an understatement.  So when she gets the opportunity to tour with Taint for 3 months, get her foot in the door for the dream job,the career she wants, I had to shake my head when she fights it - gah, woman!  Seriously, how many times in our lives do these opportunities drop in our laps.

I adore the boys in the band - even though they are a big bunch of man-whoring douchebags a lot of the time!  Though still, a day after finishing reading, I have mixed feelings about Levi.  Do I love him or loathe him - nope, still can't decide.

As much as Cooper and Ali hate each other, you know that there is that spark, that undercurrent of attraction - who can fight that?

There is a lot of rude, crude and lewd talk amongst them all.  But that all leads to some smoking hot action - often involving more than 2 people!

There are a lot of funny scenes in Revelry, some involving bodily fluids and personal grooming.

While at times I did laugh out loud, there were so, so many times that I shed a tear.

Right from the start, my heart ached for Ali, but as events unfold, it downright broke for her - over and over.

So, can Ali and Coop make a go of things?  What happens when things that happen on the tour bus don't stay on the tour bus.

Nope, for that you are going to have to find out for yourself.  Just keep the batteries and the tissues handy!

Ms Jenner has just become another dealer for my rock star addiction, andI can't wait to see how the rest of this series plays out.

Three is a party...

Cooper Ryan is a rock star, living the dream between booze and groupies. If only he could get over his girlfriend leaving him for another guy and taking his baby with her. And then he meets Ali, who looks too much like Holly...

Ali Jones life is no dream: her boyfriend cheated, her grandmother died and she's left without a home and money. And her dream Job turns into a nightmare when rockstar Cooper Ryan demands her as his bands PA and she has to hit the road with four rockers acting pubescend.

Throw in a night full of alcohol and drugs, another uber-hot band mate and his 12 inches and this turns into a mess of feelings, fame and jealousy.

While this steamy triangle might not be everyone's cup of tea, it's full of irrational intense feelings and different from so many rockstar stories out there. And I didn't feel to much angst, which is strange with all these emotions going on. Like Cooper inviting Levi into bed with them to not lose his head and heart and Levi falling for the first time and then ending up in a toxic triangle, where they're all in too deep to save anyone...

It's also a lot of fun and often awkward. Like walking into a circle jerk, seriously? And the waxing tragedy? How is all that plus the whole band knowing what's going on from the very first encounter in the plane not awkward for Ali? She says it is a few times but then she walks around all touchy and flirty with both guys in front of everyone.

The characters are anything but conventional and how they get carried away with their tangled feelings, jealousy and lust - it's not at all relatable but I can see where they're coming from.
And I also don't always need relatable to enjoy a story. Cooper and Levi being really hot rock stars helped me to get comfortable with the story, same as Coopers confessions about being selfish and helping her with her situation, Levi all the time staying withing some boundaries I wondered he knew about and some other surprises I didn't see coming.

There's a lot of wrong on so many levels but it's a good story and I like to be pushed out of my comfort-zone-romances. I still can't get over Levi calling her while with someone and that I needed one week past reading this to realize what a big deal Connor flying in actually was.

Now I really want Levi and a steamy happy end for him.
