What complete rubbish. It upsets me immensely that this author is a NYT 'best-seller', and has apparently had publishing deals thrown at her. The plot is just ridiculous and SO POORLY PLANNED. The 'rogue' is nothing of the sort, the woman is a habitual liar, and the 'omg drama' is completely unnecessary and makes no sense. Do not read.

I honestly wasn't expecting a lot out of this book but it made me laugh and the hero was so sweet with the kidsi ended up loving it. (Although he could have been a little less handsy, the poor woman is 8 months pregnant/just given birth for most of the book. It made me laugh but I also think it should have taken him a few more weeks to get over watching her give birth lol.)

Hero deserves better
I liked Gideon, he is sweet and has the patience of a saint. The heroine is annoying. The story would have been more enjoyable if Gideon had been paired with a stronger heroine.

It was ok and I liked the guy in it. For once there was a really genuinely "nice" guy! But her? To me she just kept hiding and lying and it just annoyed me.

Gideon St. Goddard made a promise to a dying soldier to marry his sister and keep her safe without ever having met her.
Sabrina is the mother of two, soon to be three children fathered by her now dead husband. They've been through alot and to ensure their safety she's agreed to marry a wealthy man she's never met.
The two get more than they bargained for when they meet each other including a marriage born of Gideon's honor. Thinking that he can always resort to giving her an allowance and shipping her off to one of his homes he's surprised a beautiful heavily pregnant woman with the inner strength of an ox has wrangled his home into order and captivated him.
The two re-discover themselves and find things in each other that they didn't realize were missing.
I just love finding great free books on amazon!

"one of the best Regency romances that I have read in a long time". And I meant it. This book reminded me of the great Regency's that Johanna Lindsey used to write. All the sexual tension, wittiness, ribald humor. Good stuff. I would love to read others by this author.
