12/21/24 - 5 stars baby ⭐️ I was holding onto some meh-ness for that ending, but a quarter of a year later all I can think about was how much fun I had reading this!

omg the scariest book I've read possibly ever! Had to get my feet off the floor during the attic/basement scenes. Also loved how interactive this was, I felt like a lil Nancy Drew while reading this

The tone of this was just what I was looking for, and I found it fascinating that this started as a scary story on Reddit. I also had a ton of fun decoding the hidden messages. It hit for me, although I think some loose ends could have been tied up better.

Regardless, I frequently enjoy ambiguity, so the ending didn’t bother me like I know it did others. It was spooky, and I had fun with this.
