I read Bluebird, Bluebird a few months ago and immediately wanted to read the next one. Luckily I enjoyed it just as much. Once again the sense of place was so vivid and it deals with the same themes of past secrets and white supremacy. The mystery was really absorbing and Darren is a fascinating, complex protagonist. I'm hoping Locke writes more in this series because I really enjoy her style of literary crime.

Moderate: Child abuse
