I think I liked this one more than the first book, but I also didn’t have another adaptation to compare this one to. Alien story was good (if a little barebones) but it was disappointing to not have more of the original premise in this book

This was a little more adventurous than the first novel. I love the dark humour and the addition of new ones, the expansion of the world on Niflheim with its diverse alien inhabitants, and the higher stakes made me more invested in the story. Still feel like something is missing for me; characters lack change after 2yrs, I wanted to see more relationship development, and everyone still felt a little flat beside Mickey.
Altogether a funny, enjoyable, easy read. Definitely recommend the audiobooks for a good listen.
