I would have been significantly more stressed out during this entire book if I hadn't watched the series already.
I really enjoyed this read.

This was a particularly strong entry in the series. Less time spent with Holden's POV, no egregiously, hilariously bad writing of female characters, and they brought back Bobbie and Clarissa to shake up the established group of main characters. There was a point where this book became very hard to put down. Yes, there are still issues with the writing, but this isn't a book to read when you are looking for great literature. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next.

This is the no-stopping-till-we're-done space opera adventure I expect from this series! The authors had a couple of odd character moments, but I forgive them those for all the character moments they did well. We get to know the crew of the Rocinante a little better this time around as they are all viewpoint characters. We get to know a lot more about Naomi and her life, which I really enjoyed. Amos is someone I never hope to meet in real life, but he is a fun character go read about. I think I enjoyed his chapters the most, even though I consider them less important than the others in terms of the plot. I don't want to get into the plot since it builds on the first 4 books.
You have to start from the beginning with The Expanse, but I highly recommend the series to anyone who enjoys harder science fiction, political intrigue, and television shows like Firefly and the reimagined Battlestar Galactica.
