This book goes through the arc of Shalltear's "defection" and her battle with Momonga. It's packed with constant action and definitely doesn't feel boring at all, it has a very good pacing. The final battle scene was very interesting for me because even though I'm not well versed on MMORPGs I was able to understand the strategies and attacks Momonga was using thanks to the descriptions of the text. I also like that this feels like a complete story. The next arc coming is the lizardmen tribes so I'm looking forwaird for that.

Something I didnt say in my previous reviews of this series is how amazing the covers are, some of the best I've seen!

Just like the previous volumes, volume 3 keeps the amazing art style high in a big battle arc. For me one of the best moments in the series was Ainz vs Clementine and its done so well in this volume!

It’s hard for me to review this book without spoilers, so I’ll keep this short: the quality of the series hasn’t diminished at all, and continues to keep me enthralled.

As some other reviewers have commented, this novel just doesn't have much happening in it. The main plot is not advanced much, and by the end you'll feel like you are in the same place you started. I felt the fight scene towards the end of the book dragged on a bit, and that the logic behind why it was happening was a little murky.

However, this novel does expand our knowledge and time with many of the main and support characters, which is nice.

Due to the lack of movement in the main story and in context of the series, I rate this novel 3/5. As a standalone novel, I would give this 4/5, as it is still a decent story by itself.
