It made me emotional

Looking by the cover you would think this is just another cute romcom, and it but it is more than that, it's about Paris and his insecurities, and how can be whiny and annoying, but he is still sweet and hilarious and tries so hard and then there is Paris who is confident and to Paris shock likes him back. But by 3/4 of the book I was sobbing, as he keeps spiraling I was someone help him, so go and read yourself if he got the help he needed.

That was a bit rough! ironically I found Paris’ anxiety unbearable. The “love” story wasn’t compelling enough to keep me engaged for longer then 20 minutes at a time. 🫣

I love this. I found it adorable, funny, and cathartic. The emotional intelligence and introspection of Alexis Hall is off the charts.

Alexis Hall is one of my favourite authors so I will probably read anything he writes but this was the hardest of his books to read for me as someone with anxiety. I can't figure out if it was because the anxiety was so well done and just hit too close to home, or if it was so well done and I normally read fo escape from my own intrusive thoughts so it was like having a mirror shoved up in front of me. Either way it was not a relaxing read despite lots of comic relief thrown in.
