Literally the worst.

I’m pissed, and heartbroken, and happy, yet sad. What a roller coaster. This book was everything I needed after finishing the first one. Lex and Charlie's relationship goes through alllll the ups and downs, but they still come out stronger than ever. I am ready to dive into book 3, but I am livid at what what has happened in this book leading into what may happen in book 3... the heart break was real and I am only guessing it will get worse.

Billionaire romance, touch her and you die, grumpy sunshine, second chance romance, loss, dual POV.

The first half was 5 stars, the second half was 1. After 50%, it turned into a mess, cut this book in half...

A very frustrating storyline.

I kind of loved this book, it made my happy laugh and also sad and crying. The Story of Charlie and Lex was sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. But there are a few thing which got me like really annoyed. There are a few scenes in the book, which are so primitive and absolutely at the false place. It destroyed the plot and in my opinion the seriousness of the whole book. I think when you read the book you totally know what I am talking about. There is also the aspect of the drama. It was way to much and annoyed me to no end.

you know the books and movies that are so bad but kinda fun in an unhinged way? that was the first book in this series. unfortunately, the same can't be said for this one.

the genuine anger and tears of frustration while reading this was unhealthy. i literally had a stomachache while reading most of the book because i was disgusted.

in the last 100 pages of this book, the mmc both SA's and cheats on the fmc because he is "grieving" and thinks he is better off pushing his wife away - that he literally spent a whole book and a half trying to get with - rather than talking to her about his issues. while he is being an absolute jackass to her, she is out trying to make him jealous by leaving him with their child and going out to the bar for drinks. she might end up dancing/flirting with some dudes? i think she even ends up drugged, which is where the mmc "saves the day" and magically shows up to take her home. this is when he SA's her while she's literally passed out in bed. anyway, name a more toxic couple....oh right, there isn't one.

by the end, we're just supposed to just be okay with all of this. why? because the way they resolve their issues is by having a heart to heart in the fucking epilogue where they openly admit to all their wrong doings and just agree to a fresh start. what they both desperately need is a divorce and therapy.
