I'm not putting myself through this shit again.
This author lacks motive, plans, morals and alot more. But more importantly she lacks the talent of writing. And this is not about the morality of the story or the charachters, it's purely about the fact she is bad in writing, it was like she keeps putting stuff along the way to justify the story. Some examples include:

<Spoiler>-MFC had a sister that was not mentioned once in book 1 but was convieniently mentioned in book 2 in one scene where MFC's dad told her that "her sis used to talk about how wild MMC was back in High school", you maybe asking where is that sis now? Oh she is so convienently backpacking in africa. no i'm not making this up.
- MMC's parents' relationship and "grand love story" was also a result of an affair which "explains" why they were SO FUCKING AGIANST the main couple's relationship as they wanted to protect their son from the backlash -idk what possibly was the backlash they expected him to be exposed to when the whole town knew about his affair with a barely adult-, and again this info was exposed when the Dad was telling his son not to give up on MFC because love and shit.
- MMC's Dad -yes the one previously mentioned and the one who was painted through out book 1 as the controlling unsupportive parent- actually saved MFC's life from ruin when she was admitted to a psychic ward and she was VERY VERY VERY grateful to him. So let's all forget how this man and his wife were painted as the ppl who just shipped their son and his then wife away and left MFC to take all the blame, allowed their daughter to call her whore and humiliated her all along. Just because they were SORRY for meddling and they ALWAYS known she was the ONE for him.
- the sister who called the MFC a whore and cut contact with her suddenly whispered in her brother's ear -not a couple of weeks after shit hit the fan- that MFC will be his again. Like we are supposed to believe she saw they love each other and was super convinced they are each other's soulmates. Mind you his wife was still pregnant with a child all of them believed was his.
-the MMC who have not changed at all, basically believes he is the ultimate victim, demonized his parents and his ex-wife for not supporting his adultry, but not once fucking owning to the fact that he was a cowrd. Whenever he is faced/ cornered with the extent of his cowrdness he goes for the "we were both so young". Bitch No, she was young. You were a twenty-fucking-five piece of shit who refused to do anything but walk the path drawn for you by daddy. (idc if they were hipocrites, no wife would fucking accept that her husband was fucking a little girl when he refuses to put effort into their relationship, he even refused to have intimacy with her because he didn't trust her, as if he was the most trust worthy fucker on earth. They were both trash who deserved eachother.)
- to add to the previous point, our cowrd of a MMC was faced by MFC with her "fiancy" after she saw an article about how he was dating another woman with EVIDENCE and his action of choice is to play the hurt husband who has done everything (to his credit he was trying to reach her not understanding or respecting that she needs fucking time) and he just tells her they're done, finds a woman to fuck. Then when his assitant stops him he acts as if he deserves a fucking medal for not fucking another person a few hours after he ended his realtionshio with his so called great love .
- at this point the author needed something to through them together again so she throws in a sudden pregnancy and uses it to solve the MFC's unresolved trauma. As if getting pregnant will make her trust him, will make her get over the fact the had a still birth, will make her a good person in general when she is basically a sluty trash who played an innocent man until the very end
- the other woman who was painted as a whore the whole book, the one who would've done anything to have a piece of MMC (she literally said that btw) suddenly turns his advances down because she realised he doesn't really want that and tells him go find MFC?!! Please dear author, explain that. What is the reason of such a sudden change of chch between 2 chapters? She was ready to fuck him until the secretary stops them then she grows a concience? And again the MMC acts as a champion for not doing the mistake because considering it is not bad enough. And he has the audacity to actually blame MFC for "running to her fiance whom she was about to marry until you appeared and fucked the man's life" when he does exactly that everytime something happens between them?!!!
-MFC who is supposed to be a successful and professional woman gets upset that he has to travel for a day to do dusiness. The man has a multimillion dollar company with headqaurters in london and the spoiled brat is disappointed he has to travel. At this point i just stopped reading completely. I was skimming both books in the first place only reading the dialogues.

To sum it up, the author is the only person who believes these two were in love and she wasted so much energy -and my precious time- trying to convince her readers with this amasing love story that every character in this book believes in but failed miserably in it because this was not a love story. These chchs didn't get a chance to live together and be openly a couple, they were just unrealistically enamored with each other, the idolized eachother for not apparent reason and lusted over eachother and everyone else. They had no respect to eachother, she shared intimate moments with other ppl who has no business knowing about their intimacy (too much for being posessive), they lack the essencial basics for a loving relationship.

DNF * realized which trope this is and dipped at 24%

Amazing

This book put me through the ringer emotionally but in the best way. I love that the ending is happy but also not what you would have expected in some ways. 100% worth reading!

This was… not good. So so so toxic. Like truly in no world should these two be together. So much slut shaming, no communication, rude ass name calling when upset with eachother. Finished the book in hopes it would get better..

Sooooo long winded I felt the first book had potential but it just feels too drawn out and I can’t bear to waste my time reading any more of it.  I feel like I reached the end of the story but somehow still had another 2.5hrs left in the book and I can’t imagine what else there is to add to this story. I wanted to enjoy it but I’m done.
