I loved the first book in this series, but think I loved book two just a little bit more. I enjoyed Deanna's slow introduction to the real world/outside relationships while also still appreciating the confines as well as the struggles of 6E. This is definitely not a series to be read out of order or spaced in-between reads, and I am excited to continue with Deanna's journey. Cam girls got it rough.

After enjoying The Girl in 6E, I decided to keep going with the series via audio. The same narrator reads all the books, and she does a great job!

Do Not Disturb continues the story of Deanna Madden and her complicated life. The creepy story in this book has to do with an obsessed client who can't handle Deanna's refusal to meet in real life. I think this is an interesting storyline, and I can imagine anyone in her role would have to deal with creepy clients who take it too far. For some reason I wasn't as hooked as I was in the first book. I think some chapters could have been cut and kept the story flowing at a faster pace.

I did appreciate the author's note and am happy she made some adjustments with certain characters!

Rating: I liked it! (3.5)

3.25-3.5 it was okay but idk if a second book was needed

We met the girl in 6E, Deanna already. We know she broke her rules; she left her apartment, she let someone in and well...this is the followup to the consequences that happen for her breaking her rules. She has had a taste of freedom, she left the apartment and simple things; like stars and fresh air make her think that she can handle more. She modifies her rules, sets a curfew, allows herself some freedoms she hasn't taken in a long time. She still works her on-line presence, she still gets locked in just now she eats real food and perhaps goes on a date or two.

The urges, they are still there. She prays she doesn't kill anyone on her way to get a snack and for the most part she is doing okay; in a weird, f*@ked-up and twisted sort of way. Until Marcus. His brand of crazy is scarier than her's, if that is even possible. He is bad, bad news and is going move this story to places I really didn't see coming.

This book darker than the first, Deanna scares even me a little. Her mind is messed up but when it comes to her faithful UPS man, Jeremy the story is different. Their story is not dark, it's refreshing. Jeremy knows that there is something deep inside Deanna but instead of running from it, he embraces it. He is the light to her dark. He is the one who will grab her soul and never let go if she lets him.

In this sequel we get to see more of the trusty hacker, Mike. It was interesting to see more into his world. We didn't know a whole lot about him other than to never get on his bad side. You can be made or broken by the internet and Mike has the power to do either. Mike also learns more about his crush/friend/employer, more than he ever wanted to.

While this could be the end, there is definitely room for more. AR Torre knows how to write a tale and I would come back for more of this craziness. Again her story went places I did not expect and there were points where I could not put it down. I was so engaged I didn't move, I ignored incoming phone calls (possibly my children too) and I'm not even sure if I was breathing. I survived though and the first words to leave my mouth were Holy Sh*t. So be prepared to get your mind blown!

When a convicted rapist with a very large narcissistic personality finds her web page, Deanna becomes the hunted, but he thinks he is hunting a 19 year old sweet girl. Not a homicidal 20 something that keeps herself locked away to protect the innocent.
Pretty good sequel to The Girl in 6E. Not near as smutty as the first, Do Not Disturb is darker and more sinister. This read focuses more on the dark desires and Deannas struggle between wanting to be "normal" and the desire to kill.

I see why I DNF'd the series after this book the last time around. But I'm in it for the long haul this time. Here we go...
