Do Not Disturb was a very interesting follow up to The Girl in 6E. After killing the pedophile in the last book, Deanna is feeling more and more adventurous. In this book, she buys a car and falls in love, but her life is filled with complications that may never allow her to have a normal life. Deanna is a tough character to like, and these books about her are hard to read, but Torre has made her someone to root for. I can't say I feel good after reading these books about Deanna, but I can't stop reading them either. According to an author's note at the end of this book, Torre made some plot choices that she wasn't sure about, but if she hadn't made those choices, I don't believe that I could have continued to root for Deanna and want to read more about her. Definitely a dark story that would not be for everyone, but very well written and well worth the read.

Deanna's character is really creeping in on me! I love this sequel and I also like that we were able to get to know more of Mike. Also, I was a little disappointed on how easy Deanna was able to kill Marcus. I was waiting for action tbh. Marcus has been plotting his revenge for a long time and the suspense of them facing each other was just intense. However, it did not live up to my expectations that much.
Also, thank god Jeremy is ALIVE!!! Ugh I thought he was dead! I was shookt af on that explosion scene. Damn.
I'm ready to dive in the last book and I'm hoping to get to know more of Derek. I hope....

I LOOOVED this one and I am on track to becoming A.R. Torre's number one fan. Deanna is the badass anti-hero that I truly root for 100%.

SPILER AHEAD:

I am secretly rooting for Deanna and Mike to be end game. I don't have high hopes for that but... a girl can dream right?

This book was my favourite of 2023 so far. It made me uncomfortable at parts to read, which I loved. Great outcome at the end. Will definitely read the other two.

While again, this book was an extreme page turner and I read it in one sitting, I feel as if it had the same problems as the first book in the sense that the climax didn't feel intense and I feel like Deanna as a character (whilst she does have homicidal urges) she seems to be unstoppable which I find to be unrealistic. Despite this, I am always on the edge of my seat when reading this book. I also like that it's not cringey erotic nonsense either. One of my favourite aspects of this book is that the apartment itself is so crucial to the plot that it almost feels like a character in itself.

Wowza! Almost as good as book one, but definitely still exciting. Now on to book 3. :)

It was very similar in feel to the first book. Definitely more of a "quick, hot read" than a substantive book, but I enjoy it for that. Good dark fun. If you just want a book that is a bit hot and heavy, a bit twisted, and quick, this is the series for you.

Not as good as the first but still a decent read.

Superb

Every time I open an Alessandra Torre book I'm reminded of what a master storyteller she is. Her writing never ceases to amaze me. This story is well-crafted and sucked me right in from page one. I thoroughly enjoyed and cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
